Do you have on-site laundry?
Yes, we do! We have a 24/7 laundry center equipped with a number of washers and dryers to help you get your laundry done no matter the time of day. We even have a fully-furnished waiting area if you’d like to stay with your laundry while you wait.
What about parking?
There’s a parking garage directly across Schiller Street, and they offer our residents a discount to park and monthly passes. If you don’t want a covered and closed garage, you’ll find plenty of residential street parking around the property.
Do I need to set up my own utilities?
You’ll just need to set up your electricity account with Comed, your cable, and your internet with one of our two service providers—HiPoint or Xfinity. All of your water, sewer, trash, and gas will be covered by the utility package we provide.
Are all amenities included?
Of course! Our amenities help shape the lifestyle at The Deco, and to us, that’s priceless. All amenities are available free of charge and 24/7.
Are the heaters gas or electric?
All of our apartment homes are equipped with powerful, electric baseboard heaters built to create just the right amount of warmth on chilly Chicago days. They’re also energy efficient.
Is there public transportation nearby?
Yes, you’ll find multiple bus stops along North Lakeshore Drive, and the CTA Red Line is just a few minutes away. You never have to worry about not being able to get where you need to go!
Do you have somewhere to park while we are moving in?
We have a place for you to park your vehicle, uhaul, or moving trailer, and we have a full loading dock that leads right to our service elevator for the easiest move you’ve ever experienced. We can also reserve the service elevator for up to 2 hours, so you don’t have to wait or worry about interruptions.
Do you have luggage carts to help with my move?
We do! We can provide luggage carts of various types for various things, so whatever you’re trying to move, you’ll have the right tool to do it.
How do I receive my mail?
Normal USPS letters will come to our on-site mail room equipped with mailboxes for each apartment. Packages will be sent to the front desk where we’ll keep them secure and notify you by email that it’s ready to be picked up.
Do you have security in the building?
Yes, we have a security team that monitors the building and lobby 24 hours every day. The Deco is also a controlled-access building.
How is the maintenance?
Some members of our maintenance team have worked in our building for more than a decade, so you can rest assured they have the maintenance down to a science. You can send in work orders online at any time or call in for emergency maintenance 24 hours a day to get chief engineers who know their way around any problem.
How do I pay rent each month? Do I need to write a check?
We accept nearly every method of payment that is convenient for you. The only thing we can’t accept is cash. To pay by card, you can input your information through our secure online portal or even through the mobile app. Or, drop off personal checks, money orders, cashiers checks, or other certified funds to our convenient payment drop box located right outside our leasing office in the lobby.
